Wild and Vital is a hair care brand that prides itself on being 100% purely natural and organic. The three products in this system are a clary sage shampoo bar, roman chamomile hair mask, and a tea tree infused wooden comb. The paper packaging is biodegradable and the wooden container that houses the hair mask is 100% bamboo and refillable, therefore it cuts waste. Wild and Vital is intended to be a charitable brand that donates to people affected by poverty in Ethiopia. This brand’s target audience is adults of all ages who shop at Sprouts or Organic Roots (health conscious people who hate synthetic anything and want to reduce waste on the planet).
I started my working process by creating a mood board as well as researching biodegradable materials and zero waste. I hand sketched several different explorations for my logotype and uploaded my favorite as a digital file. I wanted the logotype to be whimsical with an organic shape to emphasize the idea that all the ingredients used in the products are 100% organic and found in nature. I used different photography of the main plants/ingredients found in each product and stylized them to be used as the main part of the packaging design. I wanted the plants to be the main focus in the packing in order to further emphasize the fact that these products are organic, promote zero waste, and the overall importance and benefits of using natural non-synthetic ingredients in your beauty regimen.
